Community members working together to improve access and quality of services for children, youth, and families, and to ensure a transparent governmental process.

In November of 2014, the Children and Youth Fund was reauthorized through June 30, 2041 by nearly 75% of the San Francisco electorate. The revamped Children and Youth Fund included several revisions to the original Children’s Fund, including the establishment of the Children, Youth, and Their Families Oversight and Advisory Committee (OAC). The OAC replaced DCYF’s Citizens Advisory Committee, and started holding formal meetings in October of 2015. The mission of the OAC was outlined in Proposition C and established through the Ordinance amending the Administrative Code in 2014.

As an official advisory body to the City and County of San Francisco, DCYF's OAC is subject to the San Francisco Sunshine Ordinance. In compliance with Sunshine goals, all OAC meeting agendas and minutes will be made public. Look for agenda postings here at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. If you have questions about DCYF's OAC, please email oac@dcyf.org.

There shall be a Children, Youth and Their Families Oversight and Advisory Committee to review the governance and policies of the Department of Children, Youth, and Their Families, to monitor and participate in the administration of the Children and Youth Fund...and to take steps to ensure that the Fund is administered in a manner accountable to the community.
— OAC Mission Statement outlined in Proposition C
