Malcolm X Academy Beacon School Request for Proposals (RFP)

The Beacon Community School Strategy is designed to support the implementation of the SFUSD Comprehensive Community Schools Framework. Beacon Community School programs provide powerful learning, integrated health and social supports, and authentic family and community engagement to develop students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and civic capacities. Beacon Community School programs are student-centered, grounded in partnership, and focused on the needs of students, families and the school community in order to provide youth and families with a full range of opportunities and supports.

DCYF requested proposals from qualified organizations to establish and anchor a Beacon Community School at Malcolm X Academy. The selected agency will receive a grant for up to $346,000 to provide these services.

The application period for the Malcolm X Beacon RFP closed on April 2, 2021. After DCYF reviews the proposals received during the application period, the selected agency will be announced on this page.
