We Are The City: Chinatown takes place at Summer Saturdays on Waverly with Community Youth Center. The theme is Craving Chinatown: a community food festival with delicious dishes from local restaurants, cooking demonstrations and activities for the whole family!

Sunday Streets Summer Pop-Up

This Sunday Streets Summer Pop-Up will turn Persia Triangle into a gathering place for the Excelsior community. Come enjoy food, performances, and activities for the whole family!
Ocean Ave between Mission St & Persia St 11am-4pm
Mo'MAGIC and DCYF will welcome local families back to school with a backpack giveaway and takeover of Buchanan Mall. From 11am to 12pm everyone will be invited to join Mayor London Breed, Supervisor Vallie Brown, and the Western Addition and Fillmore communities at the official ribbon cutting for "The Spirit of Fillmore" mural at the Rosa Parks Senior Center. Come for a free backpack and to see a little local history be made, and stay for food, performances, a health & resource fair, and outdoor activities for the whole family.

While everyone is welcome to attend the event, please note that the primary intended audience is Bayview-Hunters Point residents in grades K-12. Parents/guardians with K-8 students must attend together, and all youth must be present in order to receive backpack & materials.

Sunday Streets are fun, free events that empower residents to transform their streets into car-free community spaces where kids can play, seniors can stroll, organizations can connect, and neighbors can meet. Drop by the DCYF activation to learn about after school programming (official first day of school for SFUSD is the next day!), get some cool giveaways, and build with thousands of LEGOs supplied by Play-Well TEKnologies.

25th Annual Sunset Community Festival
Presented with Sunset Youth Services
Come Eat, Drink, Shop, Play, Connect and Be Local at the 25th annual Sunset Community Festival, presented by Sunset Youth Services. Featuring a Sunset Mercantile pop-up of local makers, merchants, artists, plus local resources, yummy food trucks, vendors and artisans... as well as an Electric Vehicle Info Fair with demos presented by The Golden Gate Electric Vehicle Association. Wine and beer tasting, live performances, and TONS of children’s activities including games, crafts, rides, jumpy houses, bubbles, and more!
