Sean grew up in Berkeley, California and went to college at the University of California, San Diego where he studied Sociology and Communication. Sean spent two years after college living in Japan on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program teaching English in the Japanese public school system. After coming back from Japan, he spent 10 years in education and a majority of that time teaching middle school math. In the fall of 2017, Sean joined the City & County of San Francisco as an accounting intern. Currently, he is now the senior accountant at DCYF. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time outside camping, hiking and biking.

What inspires you to do this work?

I really appreciate being able to do work that supports the community!
