2019-2020 Community Grants Request for Proposals (RFP)

Each year at the beginning of the new fiscal year in July, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors releases a list of budget amendments, commonly known as "addbacks." These are funds that each Supervisor allocates to various City departments for programs in their respective districts.

DCYF conducts an open and transparent RFP process for the budget amendments that we receive through the addback process. This competitive process is utilized throughout the City for the allocation of public funds. We look forward to your creative ideas to help provide equitable and holistic services to the community.

Any qualified nonprofit is welcome to submit proposals for the Community Grants RFP - there is no requirement to be a current DCYF grantee. The Community Grants RFP document below includes a list of all of the available grants and all other pertinent information about the RFP.

Revision Notice (9/25/2019)

On September 25 DCYF made revisions to the 2019-2020 Community Grants RFP. We have uploaded a new version of the RFP document to our RFP database. The revisions affect the allowable target populations for the two grants listed below. The revisions will be reflected both in the RFP document and in the database used to submit proposals. DCYF will indicate elements that have been removed from the RFP by striking through the removed text. Applicants that have begun writing their proposals in the database using the target populations that have been removed should adjust their proposals accordingly.

Question Submission Process
